Psychodynamic psychotherapy

Clinically qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist working in London & Cobham, offering in-person and online therapy.

A space to slow down

People usually seek therapy because they are struggling with something that feels difficult to navigate alone. It may be anxiety or depression, a relationship that isn't working, bereavement, the impact of trauma, or a significant life change. Sometimes people come because they find themselves repeating the same patterns in relationships or other areas of their lives, despite wanting things to be different.

Therapy offers a space to pause and think more carefully about these experiences. Together, we can begin to make sense of thoughts, feelings and patterns that may have become confusing, overwhelming or difficult to put into words. By developing a deeper understanding of not only what is happening, but why, it can become possible to respond differently to life's challenges.

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. I hope this website gives you a sense of who I am, how I work, and whether you can imagine sitting with me each week. If it feels as though we might be a good fit, I would be pleased to hear from you.

Through a confidential, therapeutic relationship, we have an opportunity to become more curious about these less familiar aspects of ourselves and to develop a fuller understanding of why we are struggling.

The work may involve reflecting on early relationships and experiences, as well as memories, thoughts, feelings, fantasies and dreams. I provide a warm, reliable and non‑judgemental space where we can think together about such things — including those that may be difficult to put into words.

I typically work on an open-ended basis with individuals in London Victoria as well as in Cobham, Surrey. We will meet weekly at the same time and place. I have limited availability for those who might need to undertake therapy online.

Getting started is simple

You’re welcome to get in touch by email, phone, or via the contact form to arrange a free 15-minute telephone call. This gives me a chance to hear a little about what’s going on for you, and gives you an opportunity to see whether you would like to meet in person.

If you decide you’d like to take things further, we can arrange an initial consultation. This takes the form of a standard 50-minute therapy session and is charged at the usual fee, though it isn’t a commitment to ongoing therapy. Rather, it’s an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. It also allows me to consider whether I feel I can be of help.

After that, you can take some time to decide whether you would like us to begin working together on an ongoing basis.
